Messy Church

Come and join us at Messy Church!

Messy Church is held at St Anne’s once a month on a Sunday morning at 9.30.  It is church for families and friends involving food, friendship, and fun.

Starting with a spectacular spread made by our breakfast team, we then celebrate our faith and explore the Bible in a “hands-on” way.

In the past we have learnt new songs, planted seeds to remind us of what an amazing world God created, hammered a wooden cross together to remind us of Jesus’ crucifixion, told the story of Samson, launched rockets, performed raps, christened a baby, been on a picnic, iced cakes… and eaten a lot of breakfast!

When asked what they thought of Messy Church some of our children said:

“I like crafting” (aged 9)
“I like breakfast” (aged 9)
“I like mostly everything” (aged 6)
“I like seeing other people” (aged 11)
“I like doing church with lots of families” (aged 11)

Why not try it out for yourself?

We would be delighted to see you.

Christmas gets messy!

Messy Church is a chance for anybody in Baslow to come and discover the relevance of the Christian faith to contemporary life in a relaxed and fun way.

We meet at 9.30am (normally) every third Sunday of the month.  It would be great to see you there.
