Music is at the heart of our worship and community at St. Anne's. We have our own Church Choir as well as being home to Bel Canto Ladies' Choir and Chamber Choir and organise a dynamic programme of Festivals, Come & Sing Workshops, Anthem Days and events.
Come & Sing Events
We host two to three Come & Sing events per year. Our next event will be a Harvest Come & Sing Workshop and Choral Evensong on Sunday the 13th of October. 3.00pm - 5.15pm Come & Sing Workshop, 6pm Choral Evensong Service. Music:

Church Choir
Our Church Choir welcomes all who enjoy singing and we sing a range of choral church repertoire from ancient to modern. We rehearse in church on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm for 45 minutes, and sing at one Sunday Choral Communion Service each month and at major festivals (Service of Nine Lessons & Carols, Easter, Harvest and Remembrance), hopefully ensuring that the commitment level remains manageable for most.

It is not essential to be able to read music, and many new members surprise themselves how quickly they pick up music and vocal technique.

Bel Canto is a ladies’ choir based in Baslow, Derbyshire with over 25 members.
Formed in 2010, we regularly perform at venues across Derbyshire including St. Anne’s Church, where we rehearse.
We sing a wide variety of repertoire from ancient to modern, sacred to jazz and most importantly, we have a wonderful time singing.
Bel Canto plays a key role in the Candlelit Service of Nine Lessons & Carols and the Easter Day Choral Communion Service at St. Anne’s.

The Bel Canto Chamber Choir and smaller ensembles and soloists are also available for weddings and private events.
