Children and Families are Welcome at St. Anne's!
SUNDAY2GETHER, our relaxed All Age service, currently happens every other month, usually on the second Sunday. The format includes a dramatised bible story, songs and hymns (old and new), crafts for the children and a talk for the adults. You can find the date of the next SUNDAY2GETHER on the weekly notices webpage and on invitation cards in church. There will be fun and learning for everyone!
Although SUNDAY2GETHER is our most child-friendly service, children are welcome at ALL of our services. We have a CHILDREN'S AREA in church, where you will find toys, books and simple craft and colouring activities for children to engage with. We also have baby changing facilities at the back of church.
St. Anne's has strong links with BASLOW ST. ANNE'S SCHOOL, and supporting the school is one of our priorities. The school children regularly come into church for special assemblies and end of term services, and church members also take assembly (Collective Worship) on a regular basis. These sessions are fun and interactive and support the curriculum as they often link in with the school 'Value' for the term.
BASLOW TODDLER GROUP meets in the church on Monday mornings. Although this runs independently of the church, St. Anne's supports the group in various ways, including providing a monthly music and singing session.
