Meet The Team

Rector
Rev'd Mike Gilbert
I have been the Rector of Baslow and Eyam since 2012 having previously been a vicar in Sheffield. Married to Jenny with 4 children and a dog, I feel very blessed to live in such a beautiful place where I can sneak off at every opportunity to indulge my passions of running, walking, climbing and biking.

Assistant Priest
Rev'd Graham Duncan
After 30 years working in deprived inner city areas I am surprised to find myself working in Baslow (long story short). It's great and I love it. My role at St Anne's is part-time role and the rest of the week I have a gardening business.

Irene Roscoe
Church Warden
I take great pleasure in being Churchwarden for such a beautiful church and a very caring parish.

Joining St. Anne’s Church has been a turning point in my life. I have been introduced to so many lovely people who have shown me their kindness and friendship, and, because of this, my faith has grown even stronger.

Claire De la Haye
Music Director
I have always enjoyed amateur operatics, singing in award winning choirs and even tap dancing. I graduated in Music and Art History, then my life took a turn into Marketing and PR for many years before settling in Baslow where music has become central again. My ambition is that St Anne's will become the Kings College of the Peak District!

Bill Campbell
Treasurer
I was born and raised in Glasgow before pursuing a career in Engineering and steel which took me all over the world. I moved to Baslow with Sue in 1999 and joined St Anne's in 2015. I've enjoyed playing rugby, squash and golf in my time. Now I'm focussing on the golf!

I moved to Baslow three years ago and am really enjoying living here. After a 39 year career in investment I am preparing for retirement. My passions are music, golf and walking. After a long gap, a little over a year ago I started playing the cello again. It brings immense joy and I remember why I loved it so much in my younger days.

Sue Campbell
PCC member
I was born in a small village in Yorkshire and have never moved far from my roots. I'm married to Bill, my 6ft 7" giant and between us we have a son and five daughters so when we get together it is quite a party.
I opened a counselling centre in Sheffield nearly 20 years ago. I don't actually do any of the counselling any more and focus on running the business. Outside of that I enjoy swimming, walking and singing in the church choir

Hi my name is Richard Powell and after some 20 plus years as Treasurer to the Diocese of Derby now take a more relaxed view of St. Anne’s finances whilst still looking after all aspects of Gift Aid. My free time is now either spent in the garden or watching my beloved Coventry City (the Sky Blues). I have been a Season Ticket holder for more than 50 years.

Richard Nicholson

I grew up in the North East and have lived in the area for 25 years, the last 16 years in the village with Jane and my 2 children. My profession is civil engineering but when I escape work I love to be outside running, cycling or climbing
